Go Offline: There is absolutely zero cell service deep down in the tunnels. To make the most of your visit, please download your digital storyboard or guide before you arrive at the site. By saving it to your device beforehand, you’ll have all the fascinating stories and historical context right at your fingertips, regardless of the lack of signal.
Prepare for the Trek: You will be tackling 131 steps down to start and 112 steps to climb back up at the end. Wear your most comfortable walking shoes!
Keep Your Cool: The temperature is a constant 14°C (57°F) year-round. It can be a bit chilly, so bring a light layer or sweater to stay comfortable while you explore the 1.5km circuit.
Light & Respect: The path is dimly lit and atmospheric. Please remember that this is a sacred site—do not touch the bones, stay on the designated path, and get ready for a hauntingly beautiful experience you won’t find anywhere else on Earth!
